As part of Co-operatives Fortnight 2016, which runs from 18th June – 2nd July, Lakes & Dales Co-operative are supporting the Big Co-op Clean; a nationwide campaign created by Co-operatives UK.
Co-operatives up and down the country are lending a hand by organizing Big Co-op Cleans that make a positive difference to their local environment and communities – and to show that we can achieve more together than we can alone.
The Big Co-op clean is a fantastic opportunity for local communities to come together and really take pride in the community they live by making it a cleaner, tidier place.
Lakes & Dales Co-operative are delighted to support the Big Co-op Clean by joining forces with Holywell in Bloom to create an event taking place in a local woodland area that eventually the group would like to renovate creating a beautiful area that the local community and visitors will enjoy spending time in.
The event is a community litter pick, taking place on Saturday 25th June at 9.30-11am, meeting at St Marys Church, Holywell. All the equipment is provided for the volunteers and Lakes & Dales will be providing refreshments to keep everyone hydrated and energized on the day.
We would love to see you at the event, everyone is welcome – all ages, the more the merrier.
