Buttons and Biscuits (Weardale)
Buttons and Biscuits offer classes and workshops that encourage children to express themselves through sewing and fashion design. In turn, this helps them develop practical lifelong skills, confidence and problem solving abilities regardless of background and ability.
Funding Goal
Funds will be spent on sewing machinery, equipment, supplies and the associated costs of running additional children’s sewing classes and workshops.
Seghill Village FC
Seghill Village Football Club is a long-standing football club that competes in the Cramlington & District Sunday Football League.
Funding Goal
The grant will be used to purchase mobile flood lights which will allow year round training and matches to take place. These will also be shared with other community sports clubs in the area.
Shap Swimming Pool
Shap Swimming Pool, is England’s highest open-air swimming pool. Run and maintained entirely by volunteers, the pool has provided a space for fitness and leisure at the heart of this rural community since 1987.
Funding Goal
Funds will be spent on essential refurbishment work.
